Brain Alphabet : Letters from Gyri & Sulci Photos

May 25th, 2005 | Filed under Miscellaneous.
ADVERTISEMENTS

Brain Alphabet are letters derived from images of the brain.

Each letter is a close-up of gyri (bumps) and sulci (grooves) found on the surface of the human brain. The letters were all found within the brain photographs. Some of the patterns were rotated, flipped upside-down or enlarged.

The 26 letters are available as a zip file. You can also drag them and create your own words instantly.

The search then goes on for more brain images like a butterfly, a tree, US map and also a heart! [Found via J-Walk]
