Googlebar : Google Toolbar for Firefox, Mozilla & Netscape
May 17th, 2005 | Filed under Firefox, Google.Googlebar project was created to replicate the Google toolbar to support the Netscape 7, Mozilla, and Firefox web browsers. In the past, the Google toolbar was only available for IE on windows.
The current release emulates all of the basic search functionality of the toolbar, allowing users to easily access almost all of Google’s specialty searches (some of which are not yet supported by the original Google toolbar!) from one convenient toolbar. However, Some features supported by other Firefox extensions are not implemented. If you are looking for AutoFill, you may find the AutoForm or AutoFill extensions useful.
A new experimental version of the Googlebar has been released. Version 0.9.12.01 adds a whole slew of new fixes and features to the Googlebar. See full list of changes. The authors of this project are not affiliated with Google Inc. Translations of the Googlebar into other languages can be found at the Googlebarl10n project on Mozdev.org.
