Nerd, Geek or Dork: Test your Score
May 10th, 2005Nerd Tests compiles a quick nerdy test with a good set of questions to find out just how nerdy you are. Upon completion, you will be given a score (out of 100) as to just how nerdy you are, plus a nifty little graphic and link that you can share with your friends (if you have any) so they can see how they measure up.
In case this sounds like jargon to you, some definitions from Wikipedia -
Nerd is typically someone smart that displays outstanding intelligence in a specific subject, but can sometimes just be generally intelligent. The nerd is often ostracized by his/her peers because of their intelligence. Some nerds may be socially adept, but this is often because they have a fair grasp on human behavior and psychology.
Geek is a person who is fascinated, perhaps obsessively, by technology and imagination. A geek is typically someone who specializes in something. They do not neccesarily have to be smart. The well-balanced geek is normally fairly adept socially.
Dork describes someone who is typically socially inept, but in such a way that people enjoy the dork’s company in spite, or even because of it. That is to say, the dork isn’t particularily cool, which in theory, makes others feel more comfortable around him or her. The dork often has no outstanding skills or specialization.
