Yahoo! Y!Q Contextual Search Challenge Promotion

The Yahoo! Y!Q Challenge Promotion is a contest in which Yahoo! is looking for innovative uses of Yahoo!’s Y!Q contextual search technology on entrant’s websites. This promotion is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older and who otherwise meet all eligibility requirements.

Y!Q Contextual Search uses both your query and information on a webpage to determine the “context” of your search. Using this “context,” Y!Q provides exactly the type of information you’re looking for. A traditional search does not utilize context and isn’t a contextual search.

Entrants must implement Y!Q Contextual Search on their site by no later than June 16th and leave Y!Q deployed through at least July 15th and enter the Challenge using the form they provide. Read more about the Challenge FAQ and Official Rules

Why should you be interested?
The first place winner will receive $5,000, while the second place winner will receive $2,000 and the third place winner will receive $1,000.
