1000 Women for Nobel Peace Prize 2005

In the year 2005 a thousand women shall collectively receive the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts in pursuit of peace.

The project “1000 Women for the Nobel Peace Prize 2005” was launched in March 2003 with the aim of bringing the world’s attention to 1000 women and their tireless, often dangerous daily commitment to peace and human security. The nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize is intended honor the work that they and countless thousands of other women are doing.

The Project 1000 Women for the Nobel Peace Prize 2005 intends to make visible these women’s efforts to counter injustice and keep peace. For this reason, the great variety of women’s peace strategies will be documented and made visible, for example, through texts, sound, images, biographies, and films.

That is another nobel effort to highlight such noble women!
