You might remember that Google recently launched Google Maps and Google Earth. Microsoft Virtual Earth combines mapping and local search to answer your search questions in a geographical context. To do this, Virtual Earth combines MSN Search with mapping technology to create a new Web application built on Microsoft technology. Give it a try.

Mapping technology and global positioning gets better and better. Now that Google Moon (thanks to NASA imagery) has started mapping the lunar surface, incorporation of GPS into gadgets and online mapping software will soon map the universe.
