Female Ronald McDonald at Japan McDonald’s

Ronald McDonald is an advertising mascot which promotes the McDonald’s fast-food restaurant chain. And now its female counterpart is promoting McDonald burger sales in Japan.

You might have seen his life-size colourful statue of the clown with oversized shoes and baggy yellow overalls at the enterance, or shaken hands with him as he greets you with a smile at McDonalds…

A gender-bending makeover of McDonald’s marketing icon in Japan has been hailed a great success after capturing the public imagination and enticing adults back into its outlets to sample a revamped menu.”
