September 2nd, 2005Recently released WinZip 10 beta includes major usability enhancements, improved compression technology.
It is now available in a Standard and a Professional version. Both the Standard and Professional versions are made available in one distribution file. Functionality is determined by either a Standard or Professional registration code.
Other enhancements include: a new Explorer-style view of zip file contents, the ability to create split (multi-volume) Zip files during compression, automatic update checking, and support for the Windows XP SP2 Attachment Manager. The WinZip Job Wizard provides powerful productivity and automation features that help to simplify your repetitive compression tasks. read more about whats new in winzip 10 beta.
WinZip 10.0 is not a free upgrade. If you are a registered user of a previous version of WinZip and install WinZip 10.0, you will no longer be registered. You can get a complimentary registration code by email for use during the beta test phase of WinZip 10, but it will not work for the final release of WinZip 10.
Winzip is my favourite file compression and zipping software. Though I tried many similar softwares, I keep comming back to Winzip. Now getting set to download Winzip!

WinZip is still your favorite? You need to get out more:
Any of the following programs support more file formants than WinZip. I’d have thought they would have caught up by now. Instad they focus on other nice, but not as useful features.
