Great list - all the more so since it was initially posted in 2005 and many of the recommendations are still actively developed and continue to provide terrific functionality. I've been using quite a few of the ones listed, but there are a few that I think I'll add to my ever expanding add-on bucket.

Someone mentioned FEBE as a backup tool, now Chuck Baker has released 2 great companion add-ons, CLEO that can create an XPI add-on package of all of your add-ons and OPIE that allows you to import and export your installed extension preferences so you can easily migrate them to other computers.

Some other add-ons I like:

- MinTrayR - minimize FF to tray
- Stay-Open Menu - let's you keep drop-down menus open even after you move you mouse away
- Stop Autoplay - disable autoplay of embedded music /movies
- Ghostery - blocks 3rd party web bugs
- Daily Dilbert (speaks for itself)
- BarTab - already mentioned but a great tool

cheers

Just an addition since you mentioned "extended status bar" as being a previous feature of opera:
"Reload Every" was an opera (exclusive) feature as well. I used opera for a long time since the early versions when it had an ad banner in the menu bar +/-.
Opera had (has?) a button which changed the layout(?) of the page like background color, fonts and almost everything else like we wanted plus the integrated ones. Was it CSS's? It was very good for me because I could read much better but I'm so used to FF I don't want to go there and have 2 browsers. I wish FF had something like that because I don't know what to search for in the ad ons. Cheers!
