2006 Bloggies : Sixth Annual Weblog Awards Nominations
January 4th, 2006The 2006 Bloggies are back and open for nominations. They are the Sixth Annual Weblog Awards…
A “weblog” is defined as a page with dated entries. And you can nominate your favourite blogs for the 2006 Bloggies. Read the detailed nomination rules there. But some key rules -
# The maximum number of weblogs you may nominate for a category is three (3) for most categories and four (4) for Weblog of the Year.
# At least three (3) different weblogs total must be nominated.
# You may nominate your own weblog, but the total nominations for your own weblog must be less than one third of your total (legitimate) nominations.
# There is no limit to the number of categories a weblog may be nominated for.
These nominations close on January 10, 2005, and till then anyone can nominate their favorite weblogs. Three panels of 50 voters will receive an e-mail with weblogs that have receieved the most nominations in ten categories. They will privately submit their five favorites (six for Weblog of the Year) for each category and those receiving the most votes will become finalists and be subject to final voting around January 20.
