Google Ads in Chicago Sun-Times

January 10th, 2006
ADVERTISEMENTS

Google is running classified-like ads in the pages of the Chicago Sun-Times … and you thought only websites had Ads by Google Adsense and Adwords advertising campaigns.

Excerpt from a Chicago Business article

“The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, allows Google to fill what’s known as “remnant space” in the Sun-Times — unsold space where the paper would normally run in-house ads. Google fills those spots with its own ads. The Google connection is hardly trumpeted: “Ads by Google” appears at the top of each box of ads in very small type.”

Have you heard about the Google Publication Ads which is a Google service that enables you to place ads in print publications, allowing your advertising to reach an audience that’s targeted to the demographics and topics you choose. Now get ready to see more Google ads in your local newspaper soon! [Found via Google Blogoscoped]
