The imagery is based on NASA’s Blue Marble Next and Earth’s City Lights. You can download Desktop Earth for Windows. It will continuously update your wallpaper with an accurate map representation of the Earth in high resolution. Multi-monitor configurations are also supported.
If you do not wish to download the free software, DeskTop Earth Online will generate a high resolution lossless PNG file will be displayed in your browser, that you can save and set as a desktop wallpaper.
