Bon Echo Alpha 1 is a developer preview release of the Firefox browser and it is being made available for testing purposes only.

Bon Echo Alpha 1, the first development milestone of Mozilla Firefox 2 aimed at developers and testers. Bon Echo build is NOT A FINAL OR PRE-RELEASE VERSION of Firefox and has been made available for testing purposes only, with no end-user support. If you want the regular final version released for public use, try the Firefox 1.5

Some notable changes are Changes to tabbed browsing behavior, New data storage layer for bookmarks and history (using SQLlite), Extended search plugin format and Updates to the extension system to provide enhanced security and to allow for easier localization of extensions.

It is now available for download from ftp.mozilla.org. Mozilla.org provides Bon Echo for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X in a variety of languages.
