The Gmail Notifier lets you check your Gmail messages without opening your browser. An icon in your system tray informs you of unread Gmail messages, and shows you their subjects, senders and snippets, all without your having to open a web browser.

Gmail Notifier for Mac OS X has been updated. Some of the changes are:
* it’s a universal binary, so it will run natively on PowerPC and Intel Macs
* it will notify you when a new version is available and automatically upgrade itself
* it has new icons

If you have the Google Talk client installed, you will automatically receive new mail notifications from Google Talk and you do not need to install the Notifier. Download the new Gmail Notifier for Mac OS X
