Google Joining Standard & Poor’s 500 Index

Google is going to be join the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index says Bloomberg. The S&P 500 is a list of 500 US corporations, ordered by market capitalization.
Stocks and shares of large public companies which trade on major US stock exchanges such as the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq are listed at the S&P 500 index. Google will replace oil and gas producer Burlington Resources Inc. Google will be listed after trading has closed on March 31st.
The google share prices are zooming on the news and Reuter says Google Inc.’s planned addition to the influential Standard & Poor’s 500 index boosted its stock 8 percent.
