Wikipedia Featured Desktop Backgrounds / Wallpapers

Looking for a free collection of desktop wallpapers for your computer. Wikipedia Featured Desktop Backgrounds has a beautiful wallpaper collection.

The images need to satisfy three criteria:
* They are either Wikipedia featured pictures or Commons featured pictures.
* They are fairly large
* They have an aspect ratio of 4:3 or 5:4

So if you create a background wallpaper of 800px width and 600 px height, its aspect ratio will be 0.75 (divide its height by its width). Their tolerable limits are 0.73 and 0.77.

So create your own desktop wallpapers with any image editing software like Photoshop, release it into the public domain / free license and get it listed here for all to enjoy.
