Babel Fish Free Online Language Translation : Altavista to Yahoo
April 29th, 2006 | Filed under Tools, Yahoo!.I think Babel Fish was the first free online translation service I ever used several years back. It was fast, provided accurate language translation and was free. Supported by a big brand name and then popular search engine, Altavista’s Babel Fish was very popular.
Recently Babel Fish debuted across Yahoo services, The Yahoo Search blog announces this -
“Today Babel Fish is hanging his shingle here at Yahoo!, debuting Yahoo! Babel Fish across our properties worldwide. For those of you new to Babel Fish, you can visit babelfish.yahoo.com and translate text or web pages across your choice of 38 language pairs, such as English => Korean, Dutch => French, and Greek => English. It’s the same convenient, free, easy-to-use resource that people have relied on for years, and now we’ve added more features”
Check out the new Yahoo Babel Fish. There are two ways it works. Translate a block of text or a webpage from one language to another. A nice feature webmasters will find useful is the to add Babel Fish to your site to enable users to translate your webpage into their language of choice with just one click. And now you can add the Babel Fish button to your Yahoo! Toolbar to enable one-click translation of web pages.
