ADVERTISEMENTS

Google Current airs every half hour on Current TV and provides a look at what the world is searching for on Google.

If you want updates on what is featuring on Google Current, subscribe to the feed with your favourite news aggregator. You can see the upcomming schedule of programs on Current TV. The short videos are provided with a direct link and an indicated duration of the video clip. Check out the Google Current hosts Conor Knighton and Kinga Philipps.

Current is a independent cable and satellite TV network. What channel is it on? On DirecTV – 366. On Time Warner Digital in most places: 103 in New York City, 116 in LA. On Comcast in the San Francisco Bay Area – 125.

How does current tv work :

We slice our schedule into short segments that we call “pods” — each just a few minutes long.

We call it viewer-created content, or VC2. Right now, VC2 makes up about a third of our channel — and that share is growing.

Anyone who wants to contribute can upload a video. Then, everyone in the Current online community votes for what should be on TV. You can join in at either stage – watch & vote or create & upload.

Definitely not a traditional TV network!
