ccPublisher 2 : Tag Audio & Video with Creative Commons Licences
May 23rd, 2006 | Filed under Blogging, Security, Tools.Creative Commons licenses provide a flexible range of protections and freedoms for authors, artists, and educators. ccPublisher 2.0 is now released which allows users to select licenses for their audio and video works and publish them to the Internet Archive for permanent, free hosting. Files in supported formats will have license information embedded in them.
If you CC license your work but would prefer to host it at your own website, ccPublisher can generate a piece of HTML which contains machine-readable information that lets others validate the license it embeds in the file.
To upload your works to the Internet Archive, you’ll need an account there to associate your files with. Get the latest version ccPublisher 2.0.2 for Windows, Linux and Mac.
