Microsoft Robots Invasion Contest : Create Robots / BOTs
May 18th, 2006Microsoft is challenging developers worldwide via the Invasion of the Robots Contest to create conversational robots, or BOTs, for MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger.
Robots or “BOTs”, are software programs that you can add to MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger contact list – it can chat, give you customer service support, perform searches, make suggestions, play games and more.
Just download an SDK, and use one of three free toolkits to build your robot. You can put ads in your BOT through their partner Kanoodle (available only for US-based partners). Publish your BOT to a personal Web space.
Vote in the robot gallery and the BOT with the most popular votes on September 15th wins the $500 User’s Choice Award! And they are giving away $40000 prizes in all. The best robots will be promoted on MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger!
