Oxford University Tops Best Universities in UK

Oxford has retained its place as the UK’s best university, according to the Guardian’s annual guide.

The survey, published by Education Guardian.co.uk, provides a detailed guide for undergraduates choosing full-time degree courses. They enlist the top 10 UK universities on that page. The top 5 universities in UK are Oxford, Cambridge, London School of Economic, University College London and Imperial College.

The research, which was compiled by the Guardian and Campus Pi, an applied research department at Brunel University, reveals that for the second year running Oxford has beaten Cambridge to the top spot, with London emerging as home to the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh-placed institutions.

The top 20 places are dominated by the elite Russell Group of institutions with the University of Central England the highest ranking former polytechnic at 48.
