666 Today : Feeling Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia

Did you notice today’s date – 6 June 2006. So what? well it turns out that today can also be represented as 6/6/06 or further shortened to 666. Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia is a fear of the number 666.

Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobes avoid things related to the number 666. Why? The Number of the Beast is mentioned in the Book of Revelation of the Christian New Testament and has long been accepted to be 666. The belief is that the Biblical verse, Revelation 13:18, indicates that the number 666 is linked to Satan or the Anti-Christ. BBC is reporting that “Dutch evangelical Christians are to hold a round-the-clock prayer vigil to ward off the forces of evil on Tuesday – the so-called Devil’s Day.”
