FeedFlare Scratchpad : Create and Debug Feedburner FeedFlares

June 21st, 2006 | Filed under Blogging, Tips, Tools.

Feedburner feeds offer the ability to add FeedFlares - it gives your subscribers more interactivity with your feed with easy ways to email, tag, share, and act on the content you publish. If you enjoyed developing Feedflare units, you know that there is a lot of trial and error involved to see if it works.

I had earlier introduced you to create Feedburner FeedFlare XML Units and add interactivity to your feeds and even created some feedflare units myself. But it was very difficult to test and debug the xml files.

Now Feedburner has introduced the FeedFlare Scratchpad, which is a wonderful tool for developers to create and debug FeedFlare. Now you can test that FeedFlare XML file against real feeds and if it is not valid, it will tell you why. You can Type or paste your Unit’s XML code below or directly link to the hosted Live Feedflare for testing. Click go and if your developer skills were good, it says “Your FeedFlareUnit is valid!”.

Go ahead and create some feedflare units, share it worldwide and become a developer yourself!
