Identify PRWeb New Features: Blogosphere Driven Press Release
June 19th, 2006PRWeb is introducing new features since 10 June 2006 and is asking its loyal readers to identify those changes correctly and post on their blogs for a chance to win $1000.
PRWeb is a fully integrated press release newswire service which provides news distribution services and daily email press releases. Rather than create a press release to announce all of the new features, PRWeb decided to have the blogosphere construct the announcement by utilizing its TrackBack technology.
And PRWeb Experiments with First Consumer-Driven Press Release says -
While this experiment is informal, it also favors loyal PRWeb users. We felt that it would be fun to allow our users to involve themselves in the announcement process,” commented Joel Baker, President and COO of PRWeb.
To participate, bloggers must:
1. Successfully identify all of the new enhancements made to the PRWeb platform since June 10, 2006.
2. Create a blog post that identifies these enhancements and discusses their impact.
3. Post a TrackBack/PingBack into this press release.
Well though I am an infrequent visitor to PRweb, I can spot a few changes like a new revamped professional web design and the logo punchline has changed from PRWeb “The Free Wire Service” to PRWeb “Press Release Newswire”.
Their staff will comment on blog posts to correct you and provide hints. This is a nice concept to popularize PRWeb and generate buzz about it. The trackbacks link to new features that several bloggers have identified. Maybe you can identify some more features and win the $1000.
