Newsweek Giving Back Awards : Thanks for Helping

Newsweek launched its annual “Giving Back Awards” in a Special Double Issue that picks 15 People and Organizations “who use fame, fortune, heart and soul to help others”.

In this special double issue, Newsweek profiles 15 American individuals and organizations in the July 3-July 10 cover story “The Giving Back Awards” (on newsstands Monday, June 26) who through bravery or generosity, genius or passion, devote themselves to helping others. From hundreds of nominations, they were chosen for their imaginative approaches to difficult problems. Newsweek also profiles the Readers Choice six worthy candidates after inviting readers to submit nominations at Newsweek.com. They have also lined up the Philanthropy’s All Star Team.
