Slashdot Gets New Professional Web Design
I checked out Slashdot today and they have undergone a new professional web design. For the uninitiated, Slashdot is the premium technology portal publishing breaking news on the web submitted by its readers.
You might remember that in April this year, they has launched a Slashdot Redesign Contest to change the old look and feel for Slashdot. They had highlighted the rules, some key guidelines for the new webdesign and the grand prizes.
Earlier in September 2005, Slashdot had planned to implement css transformation from their 8 year old html templates. I feel the new design is refreshing and very professional. I am sure it will make their regular readers (thousands of them!) very happy.
Update: Slashdot new interface is being discussed on Digg too.
