ccMixter Teams with Freesound Project

The freesound project is a collaborative database of Creative Commons licensed sounds to share thousands of music samples for use in audio works. ccMixter is a site that specializes in hosting remixes all under CC license and has the special ability to track the sources of the remixes. And now ccMixter Teams with Freesound Project.

“ccMixter has teamed up with the freesound project to share information about freesound’s 20,000 samples and track remixes across the two sites. It’s all part of the Creative Commons Sample Pool and therefore available to all remixers, safe, legal and sane.”

The Creative Commons Sample Pool just grew by over 20,000 samples thanks to the freesound project and ccMixter working together to act as one big sample and remix consortium.
