Vaastu and Feng Shui Web Design for Blogs and Websites

Still waiting for site traffic? Online income shows a downtrend? Have you tried the ancient sciences of Vaastu shastra and Feng Shui to boost your web site / blog performance.

Some Vaastu and Feng Shui experts believe that principles of these ancient sciences along with numerology and astrology can be applied to blogs and websites to boost their prospects. I read this article which introduced me to the concept.

“Earth is the layout, fire is the color, air is the HTML, space is name of the Website, and water is the font and graphics,” says Narang, adding that each must be chosen carefully and strike a balance with the other.

Narang, a Vaastu expert who has spent four years analyzing around 500 sites, says a Website that is not designed according to Vaastu rules will have few hits and will negatively affect the business.”

Dr Smita Narang has written this book titled “WebVastu” – Designing Websites according to Ancient Science of Directions” which further elaborates this concept. (Note: I have no financial interest in this)

The article further elaborates the use of Feng Shui –

“Followers of feng shui, which promotes the idea of the removal of unnecessary objects to allow free flow of energy, say this Chinese science can also be used for the same purpose.”

“A website where the colors hurt your eyes, the music offends your ears or has too much information is probably too cluttered and does not give a positive flow of ch’i,” says Vikram Narayan, a Mumbai-based feng shui practitioner.”

I then found this article about Internet Feng Shui which stresses “Feng shui in web design terms involves aligning web pages, and the user’s experience of navigating the whole website, in ways which will maximise the flow of positive ch’i.”
