Google Apps for Your Domain : Offer Free Email, IM & Calendars

Google has launched a new integrated offering of its popular services that lets you offer private-labeled email, IM and calendar tools to all of your users for free.

Google Apps for your Domain is a mix all the functionality of Gmail, Google Talk and Google Calendar wrapped up with tools to make them work for your organization, plus Google Page Creator for designing and publishing your website. There’s no hardware or software required, and you can customize the user interfaces with your branding and color scheme.

The fine print reads that “Organizations accepted by Google during the Google Apps for Your Domain beta period are eligible for free service for their approved beta users even beyond the end of the beta period.”

And it comes in another flavours for schools, colleges and universites, called Google Apps for Education. You can offer all of your students innovative email, instant messaging, and calendaring, all for free. Customize them with your school’s logo, color scheme and content, manage your users through an easy web-based console and it’s all hosted by Google.
