Museum Day Today : Free Entry Pass for Select US Museums

Museum Day is on September 30, 2006, and for one day only select participating museums across the United States will join the Smithsonian Institution in its tradition of offering free admission to visitors.

For the first time, Museum Day is open to the general public as well as Smithsonian magazine’s subscribers. Print your Museum Day card which allows entry for two people at any of the hundreds of participating museums. It may not be valid for special exhibits, IMAX screenings or for use with any other offer.

Why should musuems participate? They will receive national exposure to Smithsonian’s audience of educated and culturally active adults with listings in the September 2006 issue of Smithsonian magazine and on the website. Participating venues will also receive 5,000 Smithsonian magazine subscriber names in their market for a one-time promotional mailing.
