I basically saved: wp-config.php, header.php, footer.php, style.php and then deleted everything, uploaded everything and replaced those files.

I think wp-config.php is the most important :)

Dreamhost is my host! I love them. They automate the upgrade process. Great!

If you customize any of your php files, make sure to save the old ones, so that you can repair them later.

Saw the notice, up-grade was available, I’d LIKE to up-grade, I won’t…I don’t have Clue ONE how to do any of it and I’m getting pretty sore at WP. They, the techie geeks with nothing else to do, imagine everyone knows what they’re talking about, how to do that stuff. So they keep on inventing Gee Whiz junk to impress their geek friends. Getting REALLY REALLY old. I’ve tried to down/up load a new template for my website; can’t change it or my WP.org blog. Glad I didn’t close my non-WP blogs.
