World Heart Day Podcast
September 24th, 2006World Heart Day is celebrated on the last Sunday in September every year. This year the World Heart Day is on 24 September 2006, that is today and dedicated to the theme “How Young is Your Heart?”
The World Heart Federation (WHF) has collaborated with Nature Clinical Practice Cardiovascular Medicine to create and produce a unique podcast, featuring insights and interviews from some of the leading figures in cardiovascular disease.
World Heart Day is WHF’s most important advocacy event and aims to increase public awareness and promote preventive measures to reduce cardiovascular disease and stroke. WHF members, comprising 189 cardiology societies and heart foundations in more than 100 countries, organise activities for World Heart Day, many of which encourage people to get moving, to eat healthily and to be aware of the risk factors for cardiovascular disease and stroke.
