Indra Nooyi Tops Fortune Most Powerful Women in Business
Fortune presents their 2006 annual ranking of America’s leading businesswomen, and the new Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi tops the list 50 Most Powerful Women in Business. She is closely followed by Anne Mulcahy of Xerox and Meg Whitman of eBay. Check out the full list of the America’s leading businesswomen.
It is also interesting to note that four of the Most Powerful Women are also among the best-compensated. A quick look at the highest paid women reveals that Safra Catz of Oracle gets the highest paycheck of $26.1 million. She is closely followed by Susan Decker of Yahoo and Suzanne Nora Johnson of Goldman Sachs and many more millionaires follow.
And you dont have to be too old to be rich and powerful. The youngest businesswoman on the list is Charlene Begley of General Electric aged 39 years and ranked 22.
Earlier Forbes had named Angela Merkel, the first woman chancellor of Germany, as the Most Powerful Women in the world.
