October 20th, 2006 | Filed under Computers, Microsoft, Tools.
ADVERTISEMENTS

After months of testing, bug tracking and developer feedback, Microsoft has finally released the Internet Exporer 7 final release to the public for free download. The new version of Microsoft’s popular web browser Internet Explorer (better called as IE) comes after a long time of its IE6 release, which has allowed tough competition to develop with alternative browsers like Firefox and Opera.

I have been tracking the release of IE 7 since its beta 1 over a year back, beta 2 with phone support, with a plus and without it, IEAK beta 3 to customize IE, till the First Public Internet Explorer 7 Release Candidate 2 months back.

Get IE Add-Ons to power up Internet Explorer and check out this overview of the benefits and features of Windows Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP.

Microsoft will distribute Internet Explorer 7 as a high-priority update via Automatic Updates for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 soon. The Internet Explorer 7 Blocker Toolkit enables you to disable automatic delivery of Internet Explorer 7 as a high-priority update.
