Public Voting for Favourite Doodle 4 Google
October 3rd, 2006The ‘Doodle 4 Google – My Britain‘ competition was held earlier to ask young people across the UK to design a google doodle that represents what it means to be British today. They received over 15,000 entries to the competition.
The competition was open to all school children in the UK in three age brackets: 4-8 years, 9-13 years, and 14-18 years. Britain was divided into ten regions: North West, North East, West Midlands, East Midlands, South West, South East, London, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. The doodles were judged by experts to select 30 Regional Winners (one winner in each age group per region).
Now these top 30 doodles are displayed on a single page and available for voting. Once the public voting is over, 3 National Winners will be selected. Finally Dennis Hwang, the Google Doodler will choose one winner and that lucky doodle will be featured on the Google’s homepage for 24 hours.
Vote for one doodle in each age group. The vote closes on 15 October 2006 and the winning doodles will be announced on 7 November 2006.
