Want to buy domain names from Microsoft? it could soon become true. Netcraft reports that Microsoft has become an ICANN-accredited domain registrar, giving it the ability to sell domains directly to its customers. They say “Microsoft had been reselling domain names from Melbourne IT, a registrar based in Australia that also provides wholesale domains to Yahoo and other hosting providers”.

Internet Corporation For Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is responsible for the global coordination of the Internet’s system of unique identifiers.
