Oprah Winfrey Asks $1000 Question on Yahoo! Answers

International celebrity Oprah Winfrey wants to know how you would help other people. If you were given $1,000 to change the life of a perfect stranger, what would you do? – That is the question Oprah Winfrey is asking people on Yahoo! Answers. The question was posted 3 days ago and I see over 30,000 answers and increasing!

While first I was surprised to see the huge number of responses, it seems reasonable now that this question is featured on the front page of Yahoo Answers. Oprah Winfrey (profile) is a Yahoo Answers member since November 21, 2006. This is the first question she has asked, and the many answers are worth a read.

The Yahoo Answers Blog explains that

“Her premise for paying it forward is simple – if given $1,000 to help better someone’s life, how would you do it? Members of her audience were given $1,000, a video camera, and one week to complete this task. The act had to be selfless, which for many people is the first of many hurdles in this process.”
