Security Alert! Stop Using These 10 Most Common Passwords

ADVERTISEMENTS

Its an era of security breaches, online fraud, and phishing sites. Your password is the only barrier protecting your online security and privacy. I spotted this list of Top 10 Most Common Passwords. The list is a few months old and primarily focussed on UK users, but still worth a look.

They say the most common password used is ‘123′

“With nearly 4 people in 1,000 opting for a simple numerical sequence as their password (it should be noted that there was no lower length limit specified), ‘123′ must be the first thing a lot of people think of when asked to specify a password. One dreads to think what their PIN number might be!”

‘password’ is the second most popular password! See the complete list, and if your password is listed, it is time to change it today. Chances are these are the first 10 passwords someone will guess and try, and your privacy and security is at risk if it works. With so many online password generators and tools, getting a new strong and secure password should be easy. Remember to choose (and remember) great passwords.

I’m not seeing an answer to my problems with yahoo sign-in seal while on firefox. No one else has changed it, and it comes up on IE. I’ve been doing a lot of system cleaning, and reset my cache and cookies to not being automatically cleaned out at the end of ea. session, but I cannot recreate my sign-in seal. The page will not register color selection, I can’t reload my image, and the button to preview selections, as well as the preview seal, are grayed out. I’ve been going back and forth with Yahoo, but not getting any answers. Ideas?
