Confab.Yahoo : Free Open Microconference Series

Yahoo has launched confab.yahoo - a free open microconference series by Yahoo! Technology Development Group. You can join academic and industry experts to discuss the latest technologies and their applications and visualize web next.

The series is starting on December 13, 5:30-8:00pm at Yahoo! Headquarters with a public session on the topic of prediction markets, moderated by James Surowiecki, New Yorker columnist and bestselling author of The Wisdom of Crowds. Various experts will describe how they are using prediction markets to aid corporate forecasting and decision making.

Register for the event at Upcoming.org - Attendance is free and open to the public. There are a limited number of free copies of “the Wisdom of Crowds” to distribute too.
