Creative Commons is well known for the licenses that allow authors to easily mark their creative work with the freedoms they want. CC turns 4 years old, and claims to have 140 million licenses distributed.
Creative Commons 4th birthday parties are being held all over the world. In San Francisco, the people at Songbird are hosting the CC Birthday Party from 8pm – 2am. International visitors unable to attend these worldwide parties can celebrate with Jimmy Wales, Joi Ito, and Larry Lessig at the island of Kula in Second Life.
They suggest that if you take photos and videos, upload them with the tag ccbday and share them to enjoy everyones party.
