Fortune 500 Blog Project : Evaluating Corporate Blogs
December 11th, 2006 | Filed under Blogging, Tools. The Fortune 500 Blog Project is an independent, volunteer-driven project to identify and evaluate public-facing corporate blogs owned and/or operated by Fortune 500 companies and to find out to what degree Fortune 500 companies are using internal corporate blogs, and highlighting blogs that discuss Fortune 500 companies.
Easton Ellsworth of Know More Media and Teresa Valdez Klein of Blog Business Summit are overseeing the project. You can participate too. Get started by picking a Fortune 500 company, find any public-facing blogs by that company or its employees, analyze the company blogs on your blog and link your findings to their wiki.
The Project page links to information on each Fortune 500 company, the project volunteer researching that company, and links to blog posts that review that company’s corporate blogging efforts. So far, only 43 Fortune 500 companies have been identified as having at least one public-facing corporate blog. Add to the project.
