Become a YouTube Guest Editor : Select Homepage Videos
January 13th, 2007YouTube has announced that they plan to open up the programming of the YouTube home page to guest editors. That will allow more community control over what is featured on the YouTube Homepage.
“We’ll pick one user a month to take over for a few days. All you’ll have to do is send us 10 videos you’d like to place on home (make sure they adhere to the terms of service!) along with a short video about why you chose what you did and how you found the experience. If you’re interested in participating, please let me know.”
Recently Chevrolet presented the Youtube New Year, where they were looking for some great New Year videos to feature on the Youtube homepage on December 31 and January 1, 2007. I think the experiment worked well and they want to extend the feature now. Featured videos on the Youtube homepage can get the huge viewership to your selected videos and their owners.
