decrease your CTR? you’re kidding! if anything even having unrelated images bordering your ads makes them look more like actual content. 8bestsites.com did a great job of this in their first release before they were busted for having zero content. Simply having a left aligned table with 8 images that lined up with each ad. the images were simply the numbers 1-8. complete arbitrage, but they sure made some $

It's obviously against Adsense ToS. Publishers still think that fooling users is the best way around. Check my post: Google Adsense fair use
