Virtual Sweden Embassy in Second Life
January 29th, 2007Even governments have started realizing the importance of popular virtual worlds like Second Life. To make their virtual presence online, The Local reports that Sweden plans to become the first country to establish a diplomatic representation in the virtual reality world of Second Life.
Sweden would be the first officially sanctioned embassy in Second Life and would primarily serve as an information portal for Sweden. More governments may soon follow to establish their official embassies in Second Life, and provide correct information to the users and prevent misrepresentation.
