2006 Best of Blogs Awards for Less Popular Blogs
2006 Best of Blogs Awards are back. Nominations are officially open under various categories. While other blogging awards like Webby awards charge a huge fee for nominations, or usually select top high traffic well known blogs like the bloggies, these Best of Blogs awards concentrate on smaller lesser known blogs.
Some salient features of the awards are
# Nominate blogs with site traffic less than 100 unique hits per day
# Don’t nominate your own blog
# Nominations close February 16. Voting will begin on March 2.
Each award has a category and you nominate in the comments.

Best Music Blog
Best Inspirational Blog
Best Health Blog
Best LGBT Blog
Best New Blog
Best Book/Literary Blog
Best Adoption/Fertility Blog
Best Food, Wine, and Cooking Blog

What`s the benefit of such awards?!
I started to feel that every one in the blogosphere is trying to do something “unique” even if it`s not important (high quality)!
