At first, I thought it was all due to my bad Internet connection, but when I saved it and used <acronym title="Microsoft Internet Explorer">MSIE</a> to open it, it played nicely. GIF images are OK, but not those that animated. Thanks! You guys are forgetting Opera :)

Opera (9 yes, but not sure 8) no longer play an animated GIF image. At first, I thought it was all due to my bad Internet connection, but when I saved it and used MSIE to open it, it played nicely. GIF images are OK, but not those that animated.

If you were to have a copy of microangelo or maybe even irfanview can do it, you can produce an animated icon and make that your favicon?
