Download Latest WordPress 2.1.1 and 2.0.9

Its wordpress upgrade time again. The Wordpress community has launched new versions of their popular Wordpress blogging platform. It includes about 30 bug fixes, mostly minor things around encoding, XML-RPC, the object cache, and HTML code.

Announcing the release of Wordpress 2.1.1 and 2.0.9, they say that though they are committed to proving security updates to 2.0 through 2010, all new features and developments are going into Wordpress 2.1.

The good part is that they have clearly mentioned which files have changed from 2.1.1 from 2.1 and from 2.0.7 to 2.0.9 (version 2.0.8 tagged Debian was never announced) and you can easily just FTP these files only. Download from the release archive. It will ask you to upgrade the database once you are done. Takes only a few minutes. Do it.

Wordpress 2.2 is under development and I am eagerly awaiting the Plugin Sandboxing in WordPress 2.2 to try out some new wordpress plugins.
