Megite 2.1 Launched : Social News Aggregator

Megite is a social news aggregator that intelligently presents most relevant items from auto discovered news sites and weblogs. I have been using My Megite for some time now – you send them your OPML file (compiled from a list of blogs you read) and they compile a personalized version just for you. Now Megite is launching version 2.1. See what is new -

1. Aggressive clustering algorithm – more related information for a big news items.
2. Broaden the coverage – see many more related items from A listers or not so famous bloggers.
3. Ranking algorithm considers the number of related items. The more related items, the more popular a news may be.
4. The category menus are moved into the top just under Megite logo.
5. Crawler is enhanced with better scheduling and bandwidth usage.
