Digg River for Web Capable Mobile Devices

Want to keep track of breaking Digg stories on your mobile phone or any other web capable mobile devices? Digg River, is a streamlined version of Digg that lets you sign in and Digg the stories you find interesting. You can now read the news on your Palm mobile device, Blackberry, or Web-enabled smart phone.

The Digg blog says that if you’re not yet a registered user of Digg, use your desktop web browser to register at digg.com first, then log in to Digg River. When you click a story on Digg River, the target web site may not work well on mobile devices, but it helps you stay connected to Digg while you’re on the move.

If you have a mobile version of your web site, and you want Digg River to link to that version directly, you can add a link element with media=”handheld” to your pages, like this
link rel=”alternate” type=”text/html” media=”handheld” href=”http://…” title=”Mobile/PDA”
