MyBlogLog Bans Animated Avatars

In a move to ban the animated explicit avatars that attract attention away from your nice clean photo avatar, Mybloglog has decided to block animated avatars all together. That is a nice step towards cleaning up the family-safe Mybloglog communities.

“The animated gifs bug enough people that we’re getting rid of them. Next Friday we’re going to process all of the images and cut them down to a single, static frame. If you have an animated avatar or community image, you have one week to update it or face the wheel of chance.”

Though many dancing avatars and bouncing logos are amusing, it had led to a proliferation of several animated adult avatars which were not suitable for viewing. This was done in an effort to get more clicks and visits to your profile and community. But people will find new ways using static images to draw your clicks.

Check by our MyBlogLog Community or Profile right now, and maybe you can spot some animated avatars right now.
